Best Foot Forward offers a selection of weekly walks within the Wyre Forest District. Best Foot Forward is funded by Sport England and aims to increase physical activity throughout the district.
The walks are designed to increase activity amongst sedentary individuals. Each walk is open to anyone who wants to do more gentle exercise, increase fitness, make new friends or simply go for a walk.

Our walks
Bewdley Riverside Walk Every Tuesday 1pm - 2pm Meet at Dog Lane Car Park, Bewdley Three routes used. Riverside north involves tarmac and firm gravel surfaces with one uneven stretch along the river. Tickenhill and Riverside involves flat tarmac and gravel through town and riverside. One short but steep slope. East Bank involves tarmac and gravel walking with one short grass section.
Track Walking Every Wednesday 11.30am - 12.30pm Meet at Stourport Sports Club Walking on a high quality athletics track using time and/or distance to measure performance, aiming to progressively build up fitness.
Stourport Riverside Walk Every Wednesday 2pm - 3pm Meet at Civic Centre Car Park, Stourport Riverside route is a mixture of tarmac and uneven dirt tracks with some short inclines. Canalside is a combination of flat and even, tarmac and gravel tracks with some short gentle slopes.
Spennells Valley Walk Every Thursday 10am - 11am Meet by shopping centre on Heronswood Road. A variety of routes used, along mostly even tarmac, gravel or boardwalk paths. Some slight inclines with one section of rough uneven pathway.
Springfield Park Walk Every Saturday 10am - 11am Meet in the car park by Springfield's Stack pool. A variety of routes used to reach the Lock Café at Wolverley. Relatively easy walking but all routes have some uneven earth paths and the longer routes have a moderate slope with some steps and two stiles. A shorter gravel/tarmac walk can be organised by arrangement.
