The Worcestershire Walking Network is a partnership funded by Worcestershire County Council Countryside Service, Worcestershire Primary Care Trust, Natural England and the Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Its Steering Group also has representation from the University of Worcester and the six District Councils in Worcestershire.
The Network aims to provide a 'championship' forum for all those involved in promoting and supporting walking in Worcestershire for health gain.
It acts to raise awareness of the benefits of walking and local walking for health schemes to increase participation in active recreation, physical activity and sport.
It provides an opportunity for members to share good practice and offer support to one another.
