Nuneaton and Bedworth Walking for Health - West Midlands
Last updated 06 August 2010
Walking is described by health experts as 'almost perfect exercise', which requires no expensive equipment and is easy to participate in. Walking is the ideal way for most people to become more active without the need for special equipment or gym memberships. Walking for health is an easy way to increase your fitness in an enjoyable and sociable way. Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust are committed to increasing the number of walkers locally and are looking to recruit more volunteer walk leaders to initiate, lead and sustain walks for the whole community. We welcome enquiries from anyone wishing to become a walker or volunteer walk leader.
Our walks
The Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust's Walking for Health in Nuneaton and Bedworth Scheme provides local people with an opportunity to join any of the current walking groups leaders for FREE! So why not come along, meet new friends and get more active. The walks are friendly, sociable and anyone is welcome. Join us on the following walks weekly, throughout the year:-

On your first visit: arrive 15 minutes early and introduce yourself to a walk leader. They will get you to fill in a pre-walk health questionnaire and you're then able to join in with any of the walks during the week. If you are at all unsure about your health status you should talk to your Doctor before you come along.
Calling any volunteers? If you are enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy walking we would love to have you join our friendly team of volunteer walk leaders.
