Our walks
MERE AMBLES
When: Every Wednesday
TIME: 10:00 am
Venue: Canal Wharf, Wharf Road Ellesmere
Important Details: A 1 hour walk is held every week, with additional 2 hour walks every other week.
The 1 hour walks avoid stiles and steep slopes and are suitable for all abilities including, on some routes, wheelchair users. Speeds are adapted to that of the slowest walker. so that no-one need be put off by their lack of speed!
The 2 hour walks sometimes involve a car journey first and transport is provided. Routes involve slopes, stiles and steps and are generally more rigorous than the 1 hour walks. Suitable foot wear and clothing are essential. Light refreshment is also recommended.
New walkers will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire before starting their first health walk.
The current Programme of Walks can be downloaded, or is available from Ellesmere Medical Centre, Ellesmere Library and Infolink
