Health walkers on a 'half-day special' in Lichfield
The Walking for Health scheme in East Staffordshire consists of a number of weekly led walks across the Borough including:
Stapenhill Gardens and Washlands, Barton under Needwood, Yoxall and Tutbury; plus additional walks in the summer period.
The walks are both rural and urban. Walks are between 1-2 miles.
The Meadowside, Stapenhill, Shobnall, Uttoxeter and Tutbury walks are pushchair and wheelchair friendly.
All walks in the programme are free.
Our walks
Barton-Under-Needwood Every Monday at 10.15am from St. James Church Hall.
Meadowside Leisure Centre Every Monday at 11.30am from Meadowside Leisure Centre.
Stapenhill Gardens Every Tuesday at 10.30am from Stapenhill Gardens (Bandstand) DE15 9AP. This walk consists of 4 graded walks to accommodate all abilities.
Stapenhill (The Hollow) Every Tuesday evening at 6.45 pm from Stapenhill Gardens The Hollow car park, DE15 9AF. The walk runs from May – September call before you attend.
Stretton Every Tuesday at 2.00pm from The Green Stretton DE13 0EQ.
Yoxall Village Every Wednesday at 10.45am from Yoxall Health Centre, Savey Lane DE13 8PD (Park at Crown Inn).
Shobnall, WalkToddle and Play First Wednesday in the month at 9.30am at Shobnall Leisure Complex DE14 2BB.
Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Every Wednesday at 10.00am from Uttoxeter Leisure Centre ST14 7QL.
Tutbury Village Every Thursday at 10.00 am from Tutbury Health Centre, Monk Street DE13 9NA.
