Accredited SchemeKendal & Staveley: One Step at a Time - North West

Last updated 23 July 2010

Our walks

One Step at a Time aims to improve health and fitness by getting more people walking in their own communities. The walks are suitable for everyone - especially for those who take little exercise or who are recovering from health problems.

Walking is perfect exercise, and has excellent positive social, physical and mental benefits.

There are different walks in the area ranging from a ¾ mile easy route in Kirkland (suitable for wheelchair users) to more challenging routes including a 'mini fell walk' up to School Knott which has fantastic views over Windermere.

There is an up-to-date programme of health walks available, please click here or click the link at the bottom of the column on the right.
