Walkingtogether’ is a program of walks run by health walk leaders/first aiders from different locations across the London Borough of Hackney. Walking is an excellent activity to participate in, it’s a safe activity which helps to improve health as well as;
•Making you feel good •Increases bone density •Giving you more energy •Reducing stress •Helping to manage weight •Helping you to sleep better •Helping to reduce blood pressure
The ‘walkingtogether’ program offers a range of walks which take place in parks with in the London Borough of Hackney. The group walks are a great way to socialise, meet new people, enjoy the park and get healthy.The health walks are suitable for all ages and vary in difficulty.
The free led walks are appropriate for those who are beginners.
The walks that cost £1.00 are appropriate for those who have been reasonably active and enjoy structured activity.
The walks are led by a qualified health walks leaders and first aider, the free walks last up to 45 minutes and the walks costing £1.00 last for 60minutes.
It has been said.............Seven days of non physical activity makes one WEAK!!!
So for a step in the right direction and a breathe of fresh air.......walk your way onto a 'health' walk.
Simply contact the Walks Coordinator who will ensure you are personally greeted by a Walks Leader on the day.
