The Huntingdonshire Health Walks Scheme is part of the national initiative “Walking for Health” in partnership with Cambridgeshire NHS and provides people within the community the opportunity to participate in an easy and free way to keep fit and stay healthy.
Our walks
We're an accredited scheme and offer 9 walks a week and over 350 regular walkers. Please ring the Scheme Co-ordinator for further details.
The Huntingdonshire Health Walks operates in 5 areas of the district: - St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey, Huntingdon and Yaxley. The walks are designed to focus on the health and fitness of the local community in a safe and sociable environment.
The walks vary in length from ¾ mile to 3 miles and led by trained volunteer walk leaders. The scheme attracts a variety of people from different backgrounds and varying age ranges. The scheme a success with over 300 individuals attending each month.
