Walking for Health encourages more people to become physically active in their local communities.
We support the largest network of health walk schemes across England, offering regular short walks over easy terrain with trained walk leaders.
Walking for Health (WfH) was established in 2000 and has stood the test of time. With over 600 local schemes, WfH contributes to improving the health of over 75,000 regular walkers nationwide.
We've built up a body of evidence to show that health walks are a cost-effective way to improve the nation's health.
